December Blog Chain

This month on the AbsoluteWrite Blog Chain we are doing Teasers. Teasers are short works, typically less than 50 words that hint at a much greater story. I read a few Twitter magazines, which are perfect for this. That’s right, magazines that publish stories on Twitter, stories told in 140 characters or less. My entry for the blog chain is one such story I have written.

“Sir, we’ve lost the west coast, and they are marching on Washington as we speak.”

“How could this happen General?”

“We underestimated them, Mr President. Let’s face it, cats are cute.”

Here are the rest of this month’s participants, please stop by and check out their entries and leave comments. 50 words or less cant take that long to read, so you have no excuse for not reading them all.

I wonder how the kitties treat their POWs? Very cute….just like the cats. LOL Who needs all those thousands of words we have to slog through in novels.

Or maybe give in to the Dog’s demands and sign that alliance!

Hilarious!

There’s just one problem: cats don’t march. They slink. But we can chalk that up to the aide being nervous and allergic.

You’ve just never seen them march. They’re sneaky and manipulative, and have been putting us off our guard, disarming us with their cuteness. Cats are much more devious than we give them credit for…

I like it! Makes me wonder what happened. Did someone quit making catnip?

What? This is common behavior when you don’t give them what they want. Ever tried to NOT pet a cat. They force it on you, especially if you don’t like them. They sense it and then pester you ALL NIGHT. ;)

*I used to be a cat person, but my dog convinced me to love her more. I’m not a hater, though. :) *

My cat will headbutt me if I don’t give due attention. Especially if I’m on the computer; she will hop on my lap, put her paws on my chest, and begin to ram her forehead against my chin.

Well then, you had better pay attention to her before the war begins, or you will one of the first casualties.
